Ben began drumming at the age of four and has been playing drums ever since. 
He has played for many projects over the years ranging from Funk to Orchestral, Jazz to Metal.
Current Projects include:
Exoria, Goth Prog Metal Band.
Fire Fly, ‘Worship Band’.
Guest for Cyba Drummer.
Various on going sessions.

Fire Fly

Ben has been playing for heavy rock band Fire Fly since 2001 and has played numerous gigs and tours the highlights being:

Slot Festival, Poland
Freakstock, Germany
Cornerstone, USA
Rock on the Rock, Italy
Greenbelt, UK
He has recorded two albums and a single with the band: Beauty for Ashes, album - 2001 Available from i-tunes, Blue Eyed Boy ,single - 2002, Breathe, album - 2005 Available from Play.com via PHD, i-tunes and OD2 download sites.

Facilitating

Ben is a freelance facilitator of both Samba and African based educational and corporate drumming workshops. I work closely with Drummerbuzz. I have worked with a number of companies including Sony, HBOS and the Charities Evaluation Service. I have also worked with a number of different education establishments.

Clinics

He performed at a number of clinics in 2007 including:
Denstone College, supporting Cyba Drummers.
Milton Keynes, with Cyba Drummer and Zoro.
Heart to Drum Day, Reading with Cyba Drummer, alongside Zoro, Tommy Aldridge, Terl Bryant, Jerry Brown etc.
Using Drums in Worship Conference, Clay Cross - Solo.

WFD

Ben officially broke the UK WFD  fastest hands record twice in 2007. The highest score being 1060 at the Heart to Drum Day at the Rivermead Centre, Reading.

Teaching

Ben began teaching in 1997. He has taught in many schools including:
Repton - Derbyshire, Denstone College - Staffordshire, Wrekin College, Packwood Haugh, Kingsland Grange, Birchfield School - Shropshire Music Service and Derbyshire Music Partnership.
